Not long ago, I treated myself to a whole day of browsing in our local
medical library. On the journal shelf, I found some interesting articles
that I haven't seen mentioned on LN:

Dann MH, The Lactation Consult: Problem Solving, Teaching, and Support
for the Breastfeeding Family, Journal of Pediatric Health Care, Jan. Feb.
2005, Vol. 19, No 1. p. 12-16.

Morrill JF, Heinig MJ, Pappagianis D, Dewey KG, Risk Factors for Mammary
Candidosis Among Lactating Women, JOGNN, Jan-Feb 2005, pp. 37-45. One
surprising conclusion in this study of 100 women in the first two weeks
postpartum, was that one of the top risk factors for colonization in this
population was bottle use. There were other surprising conclusions as
well.

McCook, JG, Reame NE, Thatcher SS, Health-Related Quality of Life Issues
in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, JOGNN, Jan-Feb 2005, pp. 12-20.
While I didn't note any direct reference to breastfeeding during my brief
scanning, it seemed to contain valuable insights into Quality of Life
issues of women with this condition.

In this same issue of JOGNN, there is a whole section on Promoting Infant
Nutrition, beginning with an editorial on p. 97 followed by

Gregory, K, Update on Nutrition for Preterm and Full-Term Infants, JOGNN
Jan-Feb 2005, vol. 34, No 1, pp. 98-108.

Rodriquez NA, Miracle KJ, Meier PP, Sharing the Science on Human Milk
Feedings With Mothers of Very-Low-Birth-Weight Infants, JOGNN, Jan-Feb
2005, vol. 34, No 1 pp. 109-119.

Wilson PR, Pugh LC, Promoting Nutrition in Breastfeeding Women, JOGNN
Jan-Feb.2005, vol. 34, No 1, pp. 120-124.
