Rob, I've never heard the distinction made between feeding big dogs or
small. I've been to probably 10 vets over the course of our animals lives,
and they all have asked how often we feed our dogs, to make sure we feed
them twice a day. They are Golden Retrievers, weighing 60-70 pounds, so
"medium-sized" for dogs. Big dogs have slower metabolisms than small dogs,
so I imagine small dogs might need to eat even more often than than bigger
dogs. I know an LC who races sled dogs -- perhaps she can contribute to
this discussion!
