i can't remember the name of the original thread, but the mother who needs to
decide about whether to use up the remaining breastmilk or use it up
gradually should know that the usual procedure of the milk bank here is to
get a baby stable on a complete diet of donor milk, if possible, and then
"wean down" to whatever amount makes it possible for the baby to tolerate
other foods. some babies can do all right on 4 ounces per day of breastmilk.
my vote is for this mother to use up her stored milk gradually, to help her
baby tolerate the other food.
