This subject is very interesting to me. I guess one important question is,
how long does HIV and other organisms survive in ~dried~ breastmilk? I tend
to also agree with Pat, if these pumps are designed like this, then they are
not safe for anyone. Has anyone ever heard of diseases (other than yeast)
passed this way between mothers?

If a small amount of breastmilk is sprayed and manages to move up the
tubing (which I have seen at the entrance of the tubing but I have not seen
it travel all the way up), somehow then it proceeds into the motor and then
is pushed back out in the tubing and onto moms breast? We are talking
microscopic at this point. This process would take longer than several
nursing session, back to the question of how long particular organisms
survive. HIV is a fragile virus, Hep. B can survive longer. Yeast can be
very stubborn. Anyone have any ideas?
