Dora, you wrote:

>I have good news related to the confusion researchers are giving us
regarding HIV and infant feeding studies. UNAIDS and researchers like Miotti
and Coutsoudis have spent a week (this week) in meetings in Montreal/Canada
trying to get their brains together and give the community a clear message.
As an outcome of the meetings, we are expecting recommendations from the
organizations that have field contact(mothers, babies and families with HIV)
and the results of researchers(figures).<

I posted about the HIV case in the British courts at the moment. The baby must
have the HIV test (although this may be delayed by an appeal ???) and the news
reports say that if the baby is negative, the mother will be 'urged' to wean.

I have heard, via the grapevine, that Coutsoudis has figures for longer than
were in the published study -- does anyone know hao I might contact her to ask
if / when there is to be a release of these figures -- or a promulgation of the
clear message refered to above? It could be a key time for the UK press / AIDS
charities / government /health workers to fix their ideas about HIV and
breastfeeding during this high profile case.

Any contact info / ideas to me privately please. Thanks
