you have to love a nursing toddler who comes to stand in front of mommy when she's at the computer and sends her email before it's finished!! that will teach me to compose first, then add recipient's name later!

so let's try this again: (ignore the first, unfinished version with cut/copy/paste in the wrong places)

I've been searching photobucket http://photobucket.com/findstuff/ for breastfeeding "blinkies" (blinking slogans and signs), etc for myspace page. These are the ones I have on my page: "babies were born to be breastfed," "I make milk, what's your superpower?" "human milk for human babies, "if you don't like seeing me breastfeed, feel free to put a blanket over your head," "I don't eat in the bathroom, why should my baby?" "don't think of it as a woman's right to breastfeed, think of it as baby's right to eat," "yes, I am STILL breastfeeding," "breastmilk: baby's first happy meal," "daddy supports breastfeeding," "you don't cover the bottle in public, so why should I cover my breast?" and "breastfeed your baby! there are other ways for Dad to bond." http://www.myspace.com/that_username_is_taken

In searching terms like "breastfeeding," on photobucket, many times I've seen photos or videos that make fun of breastfeeding: a woman in a bar/ holding drinks, wearing a shirt but with her female companions leaning over pretending to nurse from her. or 2 fully dressed men standing under a sign for 'Jaime's is a breastfeeding friendly restaurant!' with one man leaning over pretending to nurse from the other man.....
and some that are definitely sexual: an adult man sucking on an adult woman's fully exposed breast, her with eyes closed and smiling......
one can also find photos of large breasts covered by only a hand over the nipples with the captions "my breastfeeding knockers" and "breastfeeding does wonders"

there was actually one a couple of months ago of 2 scantilly (lingerie) clad women, one sucking on the other's breast, obviously sexual, some would consider it pornographic, accompanied by a captioned story with references to the baby being done breastfeeding, I don't remember exactly what it said, but I was so angry that that was under "breastfeeding" along with beautiful breastfeeding art, supportive banners, and tasteful photos (both "discreet" and not) of moms and children, that I wrote to photobucket to complain. I don't see it on there anymore...

Remember recently how a myspace user's default picture of her breastfeeding her child was censored? On photobucket under "breastfeeding" one can find a mini-powerpoint called "Bad Myspace!" containing some tasteful photos of breastfeeding couplets and the words "Myspace says that userpics which show breastfeeding cannot be used as our default userpics ~ because "users may be locations where such images are inappropriate" ~ but feeding a baby as nature intended is always appropriate ~ it's appropriate in countless places myspace isn't appropriate in the least ~ breastfeeding is not: indecent sexual immoral or illegal! ~ so tell us how exactly can a user be in any place where a 100x100 picture would be inapporpriate even though the act it depicts is completely acceptable?!"

Look up "breastfeeding" on one of those services (photobucket or youtube) to see what is socially acceptable, "normal," decent, and how breasts are perceived.

sigh....
