Another emergency situation during which a bf mother can be at
peace.  Our first winter back in Michigan we were snowed in for
four days...nearly 3 feet of snow when 4 to 8 inches had been
predicted.  Radio calls went out for people with snowmobiles to
deliver formula to snowbound households.

I did get one panicky call...a mom had run out of milk (the
homogenized, pasteurized variety) and was worried about the
quality of her milk (the perfect infant food variety.)
My very bright dh said, "Cows don't drink milk!"  : )
