I am a LC in a large medical center and we are attempting to come up with a
Care Pathway (sometimes called Critical Pathway) that can be used to promote
breastfeeding activities being done in a timely manner.  Examples of possible
criteria listed in the pathway would be: first latch opportunity within 1
hour of birth;  evaluation of latch documentation, etc.  The items would hold
staff responsible for doing them or documenting reasons if they could not be
done.  These pathways are fairly new to our institution so we don't have a
lot of information.  Any one have any suggestions where I could obtain a
pathway or information for creating one?  Thanks so much!
