Diane and Colleagues,

I've now watched the WHO video several times. The first time I found it
difficult, very difficult to watch. As I've watched it a few more times, my
self-talk has included "Okay, I guess the moms want to be anonymous....glad
I didn't have to birth this way, who has first dibs on this baby
anyway...Well, that baby does get it!"

I have several times walked into a hospital room with a new mom, looked to
see why the breastfeeding "wasn't working" and realized I was watching a mom
trying to bottle feed her baby with her breast. Thank you, Diane, for that
image and that knowledge, which I saw at a Vermont LCA conference....

And that's one of the good things about any of these videos - that we see a
baby who is feeding at breast, in a way we hadn't thought about before. The
challenge though with this particular video is that you have to see it quite
a few times before you can really process it.

And - maybe we should call it "That WHO infomercial...."! Good to see so
much great discussion on this topic. Wonder if we really can change the
world by posting some great breastfeeding clips!!!
