I think you've hit the nail on the head, Pam.  i've been doing some video visits and find them very limiting.  They only seem really helpful for minor adjustments to positioning, talking about milk supply, that kind of thing.  however, many mothers live in remote areas without ready access to an IBCLC or any other breastfeeding helper.

I keep a small hand mirror in my desk drawer to help mothers get the underside view.  I wonder if this, too, could be used, if mother had someone on her end who could help hold the mirror or change the angle of the computer or ???  It's challenging; kind of a better than nothing solution to a difficult situation.  I've often voted for midwives/IBCLCs on snow mobiles, an idea that doesn't seem to be catching on.
