I continue to be interested in this subject, and keep wondering whether
to run out to the drug-store (but never do!)
Interestingly, there is a problem of rickets (and tuberculosis, and
diabetes) on our First Nations in Canada, and they are probably all
related to shifts in diet and life-style that are more major than the
slight increase in the consumption of soy milk recently. However, I was
told my one bf mother that the doctor on her Reserve routinely
recommends soy rather than dairy-based formulas to the large proportion
of non-bf mothers.
