An interesting idea. But even if there is an association found between
"oversupply" and thrush - it doesn't prove there is a connection!
Just think for a second about those poor women with thrush and a low
supply.... I find they often give up breastfeeding. They are in so much
pain and the baby is hungry and unsettled. They may not have the time to go
searching for lactation consultants before becoming overwhelmed.
I can't say this for a fact, but I have observed that most of the women I
see with nipple/breast thrush have happy, thriving infants.
