The US Census Bureau just announced that for the first time since 1976, the
number of working mothers with infant children has dropped.  The numbers have
fallen from a record high in 1998 of 59 percent to 55 percent in 2000.  Why
are women deciding to step off the career path?  Experts theorize that many
of women are waiting till later in their careers to start a family or that
lifestyle changes such as the quality of life are playing a bigger role.
