You might be better off using the pump much more often, but for short 
periods of time (1-5 minutes) until you start making sufficient milk, 
then go down to 5-8 times a day, whatever it takes to maintain milk 
production sufficient for Lily's needs (probably around 23-26 oz per day).
If you have a full supply, you can try the bare breast, and use a nipple 
shield if Lily balks. It might be good to start offering the breast 
right away. With everything else new, she might be willing to try a new 
way of feeding as well. If she gets stressed, then back off and try when 
she's not hungry.
Another thing that helps a lot with older babies is distraction. Show 
her an interesting toy, and see if she'll latch when she's not really 
thinking about the breast. It seems like their instincts come out better 
if you can distract their conscious mind that is worried about this new 
experience.
