Hi,
I have counselled a lot of women who were considering relactation, some of whom did so because of medical conditions (like colitis or cancer) and have also supported mothers in reinitiating of breastfeeding. Mothers who have done so have always thought that it made a difference to their child.
Your client may find it helpful to read the case study that is described in the ABA booklet on relactation (which can now be downloaded https://shop.breastfeeding.asn.au/collections/pamphlets-and-booklets <https://shop.breastfeeding.asn.au/collections/pamphlets-and-booklets>) which describes a mum who relactated for her 2yo and reinitiated breastfeeding.
