When a bf baby seems to have colic, nowdays the first thing I look for is a
rapidly growing baby whose mom has an oversupply. Then I do the oversupply
tricks. Looking back 41 years this is obviously what was wrong with my 4th
baby - gaining 1 lb/week! And I see it my in the office frequently enough
to recognize it and fix it.

I used to question foods first, but I don't anymore, because the clues are
so plain. If oversupply doesn't seem to be the real issue then I start to
look at common foods (dairy, chocolate, etc.) I don't think babies were
meant to be uncomfortable, gasy and cranky.

FYI: gripe water used to contain a lot of alcohol which was why it worked!
