I think babies have some built-in leeway, and can certainly tolerate weight

loss in the early days. But in most cases, with (undrugged) mothers and

babies constantly together, I think we could expect to see early weight

I agree. All of my babies were born at home and none experienced wt loss. In
my circle of friends and colleagues, many babies are born at home and it is
usually only babies w/ problems who lose wt.
