When a US citizen is in another country whether as a visitor or resident,
they are subject to local laws even if they don't "match" US laws.
Shouldn't the same thing apply to persons from other countries residing
here?  Hitting one's spouse is against the law!  I worry about the daughter.
If females must be so subject to male whims, is she likely to be punished
(abused) for being a girl? For anything that doesn't totally please the
father?  Or just because he had a bad day?
