As I'm writing this, my three healthy children are playing LOUDLY in the
living room. Last month at this time my son Lucas was so ill we almost lost
him. I was just rereading ALL the lovely e-mails from all of you.....it
touches my heart! Thank you, again for your incredible kindness!!!!!

Lucas is doing very well, tired sometimes but really back to normal. His
last EKG and his last echocardiogram were normal. He is back to school and
all caught up from being out of school for a month. He also has regained his
sweet sweet personality and humor back.  However, when we snuggle he
"pretends" to nurse.... he nursed till he was 5 1/2 years and has vivid
memories of nursing...obviously he needs to feel security after his
ordeal...he turned 8 the day after we were released from the hospital. How
interesting though that he goes back to that behavior.
