I believe the bit about fish/mercury also applies to nursing mothers and
small children.
30 some years ago I learned that it is best to stay away from allergens
while pg. because you can sensitize baby.  Could there be a connection
between dairy problems and the way we encourage US moms to really load up on
milk during pg?????????????.......   I think so!  If I was aware of family
hx. of peanut allergy  (or any other family hx of a particular allergy) I
think I would stay away from that food.  Lately I've heard that kids
shouldn't eat peanut butter before age 2.  (Please don't ask me where!  I'm
