Ah, just a minute there.  Introducing an artificial nipple into the baby's mouth is *not*
physiologic.  The studies need to be done which proves the intervention is not harmful.

Furthermore, there are years of observation that artificial nipples do cause problems for some
babies.  The obvious approach:  avoid artificial nipples until they are proved not to cause
problems.
