Well, the article (as usual) has a very misleading title. There is no shortage of infant formula that is acceptable to this community. The article states that Similac is also acceptable, but it many times more expensive. So rather that purchase the more expensive Similac, many of the mothers (according to this article) are switching to soybean formula. ( And yes, I always call it "soybean"). How is this news? A cheaper alternative is no longer allowed in the country (for possible health reasons) and now there is a 'shortage?" Puh-leeeze.

Now, if Abbott Laboratories was found to have paid a bribe to someone at the FDA to block the import of Materna on trumped up charges, THAT would be a story!
