Have just been able to read the last 15 LACNETs, took us 6 hrs and we got
EUDORA to work Thanks for offers to help, will call the next time. I have a
few words to add to all of the issues being discussed recently.

We are going round and round with this boycott chat. You boycott, let people
know you are doing it and educate others and the boycottee as well. Enough -
just do something!

Politics- with apologies to Kathy B. and kudos to St. Maureen, our Lady of
Logic. I have picked up the vibes too and want to know what happened. Let us
network in K.C. before the conference. The organization and profession have
gone thru drastic changes in the last few years and some very painful, we
have to go forward even with our feet bloody from walking on glass.

About the LC/RN controversy: the people who have contributed the most to us
in our practical knowledge have not been RNs or MDs, with a few exceptions
(and those usually involved in LLLI). This profession appeals to people who
come from different backgrounds, as it happens a great many of the people in
the US are nurses. BUT THE NON-NURSES BEGAN THE WHOLE THING. Where we go
from here is combination of everyone's knowledge.

The caloric content controversy - I can't figure it out either but one thing
we have to keep in mind, cold climates e.g. Sweden as per C. Fisher, babies
feed 5-6 times a day. In super hot climates ( like where I lived for 20
years) babies are feeding all the time. Logic. I think we have to be careful
when we indicate the caloric contents as being per oz (28 ml), maybe think
total calories per day or something. Also babies are very active and who is
to say the little ones don't burn off more energy. We have more questions
than answers. I keep thinking every piece of knowledge we acquire in our
field is just a drop in the bucket - it is so vast.

ADD babies/children, I know someone whose ADD child was only still when he
BFd, it was the only time she has rested in the last 12 years.
