Dear Ladybug Mom,
Everyone involved with women prenatally can recommend for clients to
have a Postpartum Doula in their home after the birth.  Primips do very
well with the support of a ppdoula.  Minor difficulties unresolved and
misinformation are the leading causes for cessation of breastfeeding,
ppdoulas help with these issues to be resolved early on. My service
works closely with an IBCLC, she's called in sooner (than later) for
resolution of  suck problems then if a mother was on her own.  It's a
great support system that works.
PPdoula's Are experienced breastfeeding mom's in the home of a new
mother for a 3-5 hours a day for a week or two.
We Cook, tidy up, do errands, laundry, and teach and Assist the mom in
learning about her breastfed newborns cues.
