Regarding  Barbara Berges report on having the tied tongue clipped, I say
Bravo!!!  Would that my own mother had such advice almost 57 years ago!!
But unfortunatley  the promotion of formulas from 'modern technology'
superceded a responsible legacy to support a nursing mother.  Instead it
rendered her feeling inadequate to the task of feeding me, her newborn
infant, thus insulting an already fragil self-esteem.  She never forgave me
for that and it became the underlying failure of our relationship and a
lifelong source of her sense that I undermined her.
        God Bless all lactation consultants!  The job you do is bigger than
you know!
