Alicia,
It is a unilateral problem. I spoke with the Mum today, she is
feeling much better. I think that even just suggesting antifungals
to her yesterday gave her another day of hope. The best decision
maker of all was that her baby slept through the night (6 weeks old)
last night. She has therefore not weaned and I have even talked her
into coming along to a Nursing Mothers coffee morning tomorrow.
Hopefully we are going to win this one over. I am sure she can do
it, she just needs continual reassurance. Anyway, thanks to everyone
who has had suggestions, I have made a note of them all and will keep
a list of them as options for her to consider should she feel the
need to wean again. Will see what tomorrow brings.
