Oh Wise Ones,
A search of the archives has failed me. I recall that peppermint tea is
contraindicated for pregnant or lactating women and can't locate my
reference (possibly Scottsdale ILCA conference) We currently stock
chamomile and peppermint tea on the Family Birth Center unit. Yesterday I
came across a refernce in Hale 2000 stating that chamomile tea is
contraindicated for our mothers. I would like to have an in-hand refernce
for the peppermint as well, and kill both birds with one stone.
Thanks so much,
Katherine Abdun-Nur RN IBCLC
