What struck me the most about the woman's website is that she kept throwing
around this great notion of "choice," but then every story in the "stories"
section was about women who stated at the outset, "I really, really wanted to
breastfeed," and then they go on to give various reasons for why it didn't
work out, some of which were (sadly) easily solvable with the help of a pump
or treatment for thrush, etc.

As far as the choice thing goes, I'm so sick of hearing breastfeeding
referred to this way. My sister's friend is pregnant and my sister said to
me the other day, "I think she has made the choice to breastfeed," and I
responded with, "That's great--has she decided yet whether or not she is
going to blow smoke in her baby's face? (Thank you Kathy D for that analogy!)
How about the car seat decision, is she going to use one of those?"
