My wonderful husband called me at work this week and said, "Theres a good
editorial on breastfeeding in the Press today". Now you must know that my
husband's eye NEVER glances at the editorials ("bunch of hot air") so I knew
it must be REAL good.
He was caught by the headlines "MOMS NEED THE RIGHT-breastfeeding in public".

The editors of the The Press of Atlantic City, NJ wanted to voice their
opinion of a  bill to protect a mother's rights to breastfeed that is
scheduled to go to the full NJ Assembly for a vote next month. They pointed
out that it is a shame that women would actually need this protection, given
the facts of the benefits of breastfeeding. The editorial went ahead and
stated studies about lower breast cancer, lower levels of stress, less
absenteeism by working moms, projected national healthcare savings if more
babies were breastfed, etc. The editors agreed that the bill was needed
because of cases where breastfeeding mothers had been asked to leave public

I say, BRAVO!!! to all the people who are responsible for this bill and for
bringing it before the media's attention.
I encourage all in NJ to write to their local representatives and urge the
passing of this bill.

Oct 16 was a great day here in Atlantic City, NJ (where I watched 2 moms
nursing their babies on the breastfeeding friendly boardwalk overlooking the
Atlantic Ocean enjoying an Indian summer day) ALRIGHT!!!!!
