Since endometriosis is most active during ovulatory cycles, it makes sense
that breastfeeding would be beneficial as long as it was able to keep the
mother anovulatory (i.e., to keep the ovaries from putting out an egg each
month).  Usually that is about 6-8 months......V. Nichols-Johnson, MD
