Tomorrow I’ll be submitting a binder of documents to our CEO, our Ethics VP,
and my own postpartum mgr about why we really shouldn’t be giving out
formula bags. This is at the CEO’s request for more information. She was
intrigued when I originally met with her. I truly believe breastfeeding
never made it onto her radar screen in the past at all. This topic was “out
of the blue” for her~~~~and she’s interested.

Thank you so much to Marsha Walker, Anne Merewood, Bobbie Philipp, Melissa
Bartick, and everyone else who contributed to the Ban the Bags website, to
IBFAN, to the CDC-folk and their Guide to Bfdg Interventions, to the
wonderful presentations by the USBC, and to everyone who worked so hard to
create the new AAP statement. Your work over all these years was invaluable
in helping me “make my case.” ~~~~as if the WHO Code wasn’t enough! (But we
all know that in the USA it takes more than a Code.) Bless you all!

Let’s hope that I’ve got the right amount of information into the right
ears!
Send your prayers and good wishes, please.
