In reference to the current thread, regarding nursing moms or preg. moms
forgeting or zoning out - when I talk about that "syndrome" in breastfeeding
or childbirth class, I make reference to a 1992 study "Cognitive Deficits in
Childbearing Women" from Contempory OB/GYN. It refers to a state that the
body is in directly after birth - says forgetfulness is common for the first
3 days after birth; also says it affects dads for about 24 hours! I tell
them that's why we seem to repeat basic information - so it becomes ingrained
knowledge and you'll remember when you are immed. postpartum.
