As a Navy wife of a husband who works with JP5 everyday I can assure you we
have throughly checked this out. I have had lots of moms who also breastfeed
and work with Jp 5 and this is what some of them have done.
The gloves is a good idea but make sure they are the tough latex one. Almost
like the ones the paramedics use on route. Also the fuel itself is as big of
a problem as the fumes so she might want to see if she can do it somewhere
away from the fuel such as officers quarters or her car. I used to babysit
for one of the moms and I swear the milk smelled like JP5 it is in her
system. I know its scary. And we wonder why we have all girls and girls are
so prominant in the squadrons. She can also check out the Hazmat sheet and
they will have some info too
