Hello, I have a patient I am working with who has had mitochondrial disease since birth. She would like to breastfeed. Her breasts did change during pregnancy. Does anyone know from experience what type of milk production can be expected, and any other tips on management in this rare condition?

Thanks,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
