Just a quick question for all you Lactnetters (are you there Dr. Jack)....

Is there literature out there about the use of D5 on a pacifier (I'm not
advocating pacifier use here) for comfort during circs? I know I have seen it
mentioned (just dipping a paci into the D5 for flavor) but I need a citation.
We have an OB who is very angry right now because several of the nurses
refused to POUR D5 into a rubber nipple for the baby to suck on (strapped
flat to a circ board, mind you) while he did the circ. He took it all the way
up the chain of command (so did the nurses). He likes documentation from
literature searches.

Any advice here?? PLEASE  !!
