The problem arises when the herbs are combined with non-kosher
ingredients such as gelatin and some forms of alcohol. For those who
require a high standard of kashrut, it is best to look for formulas that
say "no dairy, no animal products used or suitable for vegetarians."
You can also order Israeli products which usually are kosher.
