Points to strengthen a case include
List as many formula related family conditions as possible eg diabetes, weak
bones/teeth, asthma, eczma, any other allergic condition,
leukaemia(sp?),misalligned teeth, breast cancer, osteoporosis etc as possible
on the maternity notes.
Make a copy fo this to go with the Paediatric notes immediately on birth and
make sure you birth partner gets the name of whoever this is handed to at
the moment of birth
Never include bottle in feeding preference on maternity notes. This consent
is commonly extracted from pregant women who intend to breastfeed.
In England you could six years ago when I last practised law have a sum
assessed for likelihood of future damage from an injury and there was an
experiment being started of asking someone to choose to come back in the
future for a second 'bite' as it was known. So not knowing quite what would
happen was covered.
Good luck in finding good current legal advice in your own countries. I'm
afraid I'm certainly not current but hope the above helps.
