I remember describing mine as being like shards of glass being pulled through
the nipple. It did go away, relaxation techniques and being very focused on
that cute little baby that only I could nurse helped. Also feeding 'down under'
because letdown was very strong - sputtering and letting go of the breast - milk
flying everywhere! Recommend: Lay down, Relax, Breathe. As I recall, it was
definitely worse when I was feeling stressed out. My daughter's happily nursing
17 months later and so am I (improper syntax??).If for me bf were only a way to
feed my baby I think I would have given up. But it is so much more, isn't it :D
