The spring 1995 issue of Mothering Magazine had a big article on
postpartum depression and there was a discussion of which
medications are compatible with breastfeeding.  There are also a
couple of references to books mentioned in that issue in the letter
section of the summer 1995 issue of Mothering.  It does seem that now
there are medications a mother can take for this problem without having
to wean on top of everything else.
