HIGH-RISK INFANTS
.. Hospitals and physicians should recommend human

either by direct breastfeeding and/or using
the mother's own expressed milk.13 Maternal support

should be provided from the earliest possible
time. Mother-infant skin-to-skin contact and

I'm having difficulty getting mother baby nurses to get mothers of preter=

shows the importance of ebm being the first thing in a preterm babies gut=

Anyone out there know of one?
Thanks so much.

Perhaps Marsha Walker's article "Just one bottle won't hurt" -- Or will i=
t?
would be a good one:

I have had several WIC moms that have used the Lansinoh pump, and my
experience with them is that it works the same way as the Purely Yours. And,
all the pieces are interchangeable. Hope this helps.

In the archives from 03 and 06 there were posts about the Lansinoh Double
Breast Pump. In 03 it said it was an old Bailey's pump, nothing clear about
it in the 06 post. One of my families just purchased one last night and
called to ask about it, and I had never held one or seen one up close and
personal. When I brought it up on a search page, to me it looked liked a
purple Purely Yours- the pump parts looked the same, the dials were slightly
different and somehow it looked a wee bit smaller, but otherwise it looked
the same.

If you have had experience with this pump, can you tell me if you feel like
those experiences have been similar to a PY? If you would feel more
comfortable (or if it should) go to private email, that is fine with me. If
it IS like a PY then that would be good to know!

Thank you!

Subject: Re: Lansinoh changed?

I wanted to take the opportunity to address the question posted by Mary K=
ay
Smith about specifics of Lansinoh Lanolin. Lansinoh found a more gentle w=
ay
to refine our lanolin that is 100% natural and in keeping with our string=
ent
purity, efficacy and safety standards. The newer Lansinoh HPA Brand Lanol=
in
is the same formulation as the one you are familiar with but we have been=

able to address color, odor, and consistency--issues that we have heard
feedback on from IBCLCs, breastfeeding educators, and breastfeeding mothe=
rs.
We have taken the refining process to a higher level to ensure the purit=
y
and efficacy by using a gentle, 100% natural process in which the lanolin=
 is
refined at low temperatures without any bleaching, preservatives or
allergenic components found in other lanolins.=20=20

Our product remains 100% Lansinoh HPA (r) Lanolin--ultra pure, medical
grade, USP modified lanolin. Lansinoh Brand Lanolin is as effective as ev=
er
before and we have done extensive testing to ensure that the new and
improved Lansinoh Brand Lanolin is still as safe and effective as the
previous version. During testing, there was no difference at any time
between the two except in the newer Lansinoh, the absence of a smell, th=
e
improvement of the color, and a smoother, easier to spread
consistency--again all of which was achieved without adding any additiona=
l
ingredients and without bleaching or preservatives. Please feel free to
contact us for more information or with any other questions.=20=20
