Mary Kay,

Years ago when I was breastfeeding my 2+ yr old we were trying to have a
sibling for him. After having ovulated fairly regularly for 3 - 4 months I
went to a fretility specialist who copped a rather nasty attitude about my
STILL breastfeeding my toddler. Since I really didn't want him to be a only
child I was very torn about weaning him (Specialist said that was the ONLY
way to get pg) and losing both that breastfeeding relationship for no
guarantee of fertility or another child. The big irony was that I was
already pregnant when I went to see the fertility specialist.
Kind of made me a bit of a skeptic. His credibility went right out the window
in view of that reality. And he'd done a vaginal exam and other tests too.
Of course, this is another study of "one" but anecdotely it has some merit.
Things aren't always what they seem to be.

My 2cc -for what it's worth,
