ehe factors already discussed may well be having an impact, I wonder if an
additional factor might be he way the family members aredoing the   pumping.
Are they simply applying the pump to her breasts and removing it as soon as flow
stops?  I would hope they are using some of the same tips we might give a mom
doing the pumping herself.
1-Are they doing any breast massage and expressing a little milk before
attaching the pump to more closely approximate the skin-to-skin effects of
having baby at the breast?
2-I always encourage moms trying to increase pumping volume to continue pumping
a couple minutes after the milk flow stops or is barely dribbling.  By stopping,
the message the breasts get is, "That's all we need, thank you."  By continuing
on the "empty"  breast it's like a warehouse telling the factory, "Our shelves
are empty and orders continue to come in.  Call in another shift and increase
production!"
3-Is there any possibility of putting the baby directly on the reast?
