MaizeHello everyone,
I am looking for some help! I have a Mom that delivered on Monday morning
(9/13) via c-sec. She went home yesterday and I called to check on her this
afternoon. She is having a problem getting the baby to latch onto one side
(slightly inverted nipple). I was able to get the baby to semi-latch, but
she is quite engorged, which I suspect is the main problem. I had her
shower, express some milk, hot compresses etc, but I was not able to soften
the breast enough to get a good latch. Anyone have any suggestions? We tried
the classic hold, the football hold, laying down etc, but without the breast
soft enough no luck.
She is open to suggestions and seems quite determined.
