Dear Karin,
I feel it is VERY important to find out WHY she feels she can't bf her
second. Then those concerns can be addressed directly. There is alot
of "baggage" among mothers who were themselves first born and felt
somehow neglected when the second arrived (myself included :))

It is fair to point out that the time spent feeding a bf baby can be
enjoyed by the two year old (with proper preparation: story time,
special toys just for use when nursing etc....), and that less time will
be spent preparing formula and taking care of dirty bottles etc.
