Not sure about Samvir and breastfeeding, but why go with something new that
has no track record if something old, (acyclovir/Zovirax) will accomplish the
same thing and is considered compatible with bf according to the AAP???

Would someone please explain to me why physicians feel compelled to use the
newest drug on the market in bf women when the safety has not been
demonstrated in bf? And why it is SO easy for someone to say, "Well, just
take the baby off the br for x days while you take this drug?" Inquiring
minds want to know!

Jan Barger, where it is sunny & cold in Wheaton, and where we thoroughly
enjoyed our Lactnet Lunch at my very favorite Chinese restaurant!
