Pink? or Coral? I thought the "in color" was blue.
Epidurals and Stadol:
I was persuaded, during active labor, by a female OB who shared with me
that, "She didn't understand why women wanted a natural labor; she was going
to have an epidural." So not knowing what I know today, I was left feeling
that I was just being stupid sticking to my ideals. After she broke my water
(she talked me into that too) and I had the next contraction, I gave in. The
second time around I was more determined (I refused the IV and the Pitocin) .
I even had a wonderful nurse who worked with me to control my pain-- I still
feel grateful toward her. I made it until they wanted to use the internal
fetal monitor for decels and 3+ meconium (I broke my water on my own this
time). I took Stadol and I am sorry to say I did not hallucinate the
emergency C-section that came soon after. The Stadol didn't help the pain
and it made me groggy in between. The good news is that Nick is normal and
that breastfeeding went well with Andrew and is still going and going with
Nick.

should try a third time)
