Since I am a mom of twins myself, I get more than my share of twin moms
calling me for bfeeding help. I am so tired of hearing from moms whose "doctor has
decided to induce early for mom's comfort and because, well, those babies are
big enough now anyway." Ugh. Tonight's mom is going on for induction,
pitocin, epidural on Tuesday cause she is 36 weeks and doctor says that is term and
just fine. After all, he says, babies are five pounds now. 36 weeks is 36
weeks, not term.... actually, these babies will be premature. Then, mom will
call me with premies who won't latch properly, who probably "won't be allowed
to put babies to breasts until they are bigger, etc" Very frustrating dealing
with making babies come before they are ready and then realizing the myriad
of problems that come with it... Thanks for listening, Ann Conlon-Smith,IBCLC,

Michael Jordan was breastfed. Michael Jackson was not....
