Someone asked about baby baths the other day.

The effect of timing of initial bath on newborn's temperature. Varda, JOGNN 29 (1) Jan Feb 2000

Bathing Newborn Babies & Infection Prevention, NSW Health Nov 10, 2011 (basically don't do it soon, do it later.)

Delaying the bath and In-hospital Breastfeeding Rates, Preer, Breastfeeding Medicine. 2013
"a delayed newborn bath was associated with increased likelihood of breastfeeding initiation and with increased in-hospital breastfeeding rates."

Also found an old one from a talk by GC Anderson, saying immersion bath was less chilling than other types of washing.
