In my practice I have sent complicated cases to a speech-language therapist.
In a recent meeting we were discussing our different approaches to problems.
One item we don't seem to agree on is clipping short, tight frenulums. She
states that one should look for other midline annomolies ( eg. palate ). Also
she said clipping would lead to tongue thrusting. I have asked her to please
give me some cases where this is documented or something in the literature.
Has anyone on Lactnet heard of these issues?
