Dear Friends:
    As this study refutes all of Lucas' lovely research, I wonder about it. 
Especially as it was done in the USA, and the definition of breastfeeding is 
not mentioned.
    The Horwood study used teacher ratings of children (aged 8-18) of various 
performances (test values, social interactions to name but 2). The teachers 
did not know who was bf'd and who wasn't; breastfeeding made a difference, 
especially when continued into the second half of the first year of life.
